Carol Wurzel, MD, FAAP

Carol Wurzel, MD, FAAP, is a general pediatrician with experience working in a variety of clinical and private settings. At Westchester Park Pediatrics in Purchase, New York, she loves taking care of kids of all ages and creating an atmosphere that combines comfort, fun, and education with excellent care.

Dr. Wurzel graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in biomedical education from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York in New York City. She then earned her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, also in New York City. Dr. Wurzel continued her medical education by completing her internship, residency, and chief residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Cohen Children's Medical Center (formerly Schneider Children’s Hospital) in Queens, New York. Dr. Wurzel’s diverse interests lie in pediatric infectious diseases and children with special needs.

Dr. Wurzel is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been a clinical preceptor for New York Medical College in Valhalla for the past 10 years. She is an affiliate of White Plains Hospital.
